Sounds like a great idea to me - especially since I have a 3year who "helps" me get the eggs... Many times we have eggs with our dinner cause one didn't make it all the way in w/out a crack... lol

Your three year old is as good at 'egg collecting' as mine, then, huh? Usually I end up scrabling the ones he breaks and feeding it back to the chickens.

Those egg totes are really cute, but they do need a handle.

I think I have a pattern for them but mine pattern has handles. Now I am going to have to dig it out and whip a few up. Let me see what I can do.
