Much to my amazement this has gone nuts viral.

Supposedly, this is the fourth horseman of the apocalypse. Anyone who knows anything about photography knows filming fire or bright lights at night can cause this - its called a lens flare. But, this will be real in its consequences if people believe this is true.

People believe what they want to believe. Simple scientific fact based stuff doesn't cut it with a LOT of people. There's always a boogey man waiting to get us. As though real life isn't enough.

You're absolutely right. A lot of people have more faith than they do rationality. I saw that video before and didn't see the green horse. Of course I wasn't looking for anything special. I think it was one of those ghost from Ghost Busters.

Im a Christian and also a graphic designer. I have seen much weirder stuff than that dealing with photography. If you noticed no one in the crowd came out and said they saw anything...Just a trick of the light on a camera lens. Like the other poster said, if you are expecting to see something, hear something or even feel something you most likely will. Magicians, psychics and con men have been using those tricks for centuries. Now...If we see three other horsemen at different intervals, and the world starts going to hell then we might be in trouble. But like the Bible sais, theres nothing you can do about it anyways, so why worry?

I like to think I have both.
While many people may believe this video, I for one, do not take the "Four Horseman of the Apocolypse" literally as 4 men on 4 horses(especially not fluorescent, glowing green ones). Some may, me, not so much.
I have my own feelings on what the "Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse" means-this isn't it.
My two cents.

Likewise - the Four Horsemen are purely symbolic. Most of Revelation is symbolic, but the likes of Tim Lahaye decided to take it literally. Never mind that there is a strong body of evidence that it was referring to the impending Roman invasion of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Not confirmed, but there's evidence that supports it.

OK so we all agree it is bogus.

But that which is believed to be real is real in its consequences.......

If enough people believe in this thing it could make things interesting for sure. I am getting messages all over from people who are all freaked out.

It's probably the "2012" crowd that believes this.

People freak out WAY to easily and fall into the mob panic mentality.

Its the camera lens doing that special effects. It sometimes pops up in National Geo photographers sometimes and it does look eerie at times.

Is it real? No.

Would I worry about it? No.
