Fowl pox or peck wound?

I do not. I looked over everyone good again tonight. I had another one of the 13 week olds have a spot on her eye that looked identical to the pic posted. It never got big like hers and it’s already gone. I never noticed it scab up either.

Her eye didn’t look much diff today. She’s been isolated by herself for around 24 hours now. One thing I did notice was the bumb that is only visible when her eye is closed appears to have a yellow scab on it today. It didn’t have that last night when I isolated her.

2nd day isolated. Bump looks a little worse today. Still not sure what’s going on with her. Part of me thinks if it was pecking then it would of gone down some. She has been scratching it a lot. Not sure if it’s itching or irritating her or if it’s more of her trying to get something off that she thinks is blocking her vision. She hasn’t been impressed with being separated from everyone else. I noticed everywhere there is a bump when I pull her eyelid back to look it’s white. Not sure if that’s due to inflammation from the bumps or if it’s puss. Attached are pics from today.

Side note it’s been in the mid 50s today. Had to ride ho the road and we had a mosquito in the truck with us. Just don’t know if that’s what she has going on or not.

If she was yours would you just put her out of the cage and let her mingle with the others and just monitor it? If it is a tumor I don’t guess much can be done other than culling if/when it starts effecting her.

I would leave her with the others unless they decide the eye is a meal.

I had a hen with a tumor above her eye. She had it for seven years before it caused her problems. It may have encroached on the brain and she was having more and more attacks of wry neck, and she couldn't see well, either. It was when she could no longer eat that I euthanized her.

Thanks guys. I’ll go ahead and let her out so she can roost with the others. It’ll make her day.

I’m hoping if this is a tumor she will at least get to live a decent life before it starts to effect her.
