    is it safe to give a hen a fowl pox vaccine any time as a adult bird? I have a hen now that has wet pox and I don't want the others to get it. is it safe to give it to them even though they have been exposed to the infected bird? please help

    Yes. Fowl pox is such a slow moving problem that if other unaffected birds are vaccinated soon enough it can be avoided. The disease remains active for a year or more on the scabs that fall off. Pretty much vaccination is required from here on.
