Fowl Pox?

My 2 Wyandottes have small scbs all over their faces. The 2 other girls that live with them are fine. Is this just pecking or bugs? I did notice that one day there was a lot of nats in the yard. Any ideas? Here is pictures from Maple. I could not get her eye lid because she refused to close it!
Also there is a 4th and 5th picture of one of my friend’s chickens. It is a buff orphanton rooster and has the scabs to. The BO has not been with my girls. The 5th picture is my friend’s red sex link pullet and has some yummy spots too. She has never been around my girls.

Ok thank you so much! I got so scared. Yep have a old bird so if she got it I wouldn’t be sure if she works make in.

Three of my hens and the rooster have these as well. I understand there is a vaccine but no mention was made of where to get it or what it is called.

Oh no! That does look like fowl pox. My flock has it also. I have been told there is not treatment besides letting it run it's course and some eye drops and cream for scabs.

(Edit) Oh, reading back over that just now. It could come across as insensitive. Please know that I don’t mean to make light of the situation. In addition to finding help, you’re offering good education, especially with the excellent photographs. It’s just occurred to me since I got chickens, the whole chicken pox irony.

I use gentamicin sulfate ophthalmic solution, usp 0.3% (Sterile) eyedrops prescribed by my vet.

Use Terramycin eye ointment in their eyes for bacterial infection, just a little in the eye is all that is needed. You can use neosporin in a pinch.
You can use iodine on the scabs to help shrink them. Avoid the eyes when using iodine. You can also use black shoe polish, it will help shrink the scabs and prevent picking. The scabs are infective. Eggs are safe to eat. Once the fowl pox virus runs its course, your birds will be immune to that particular strain. It took about 6 weeks to run though my flock when I lived in Georgia.
Consider providing your birds a supplement of vitamins and minerals in their water. It will help boost their immune system. I recommend Avian Super Pack
