JackE I like where you head is at!Good luck with that. I tried that, caught a couple of coons, and a housecat. Fox are VERY wary of box type traps. If you want to trap one of them, you have to go with a foothold type trap. Peg the bait to a tree, about a foot or so up, set a few footholds under and around that. Cover traps with finely sifted dirt. But, you live in a neighborhood, you'll probably catch somebodies cat. And that will just be a bummer. I saw a cool video on youtube, where some guy called in a fox with a piece of styrofoam, and a small mirror. Called the fox right in, and dropped him with a rifle. But, again you are in a neighborhood, so that's probably not an option.
Foot traps. Are those the ones that clamp on to a animals leg and basically breaks it snapping shut?
