Fox or coyote?

Fox--coyote would carry it's tail higher as well.

Coyote. Had plenty of them where we live right now, so get to see them at all times of night and day.

I say coyote because it appears as a coyote but also the way it travels, out in the open, along what looks like a direct line (path?) from point A to point B. Foxes travel differently. They do not travel out in the open like that unless there is at least some brush cover and in this case, there is not. A fox would then be more like mouse behavior and darting from hiding place to hiding place or along a fenceline where one side is protected.

I say coyote from its movement and path choice.

might depend on what kina fox you are used to looking at a kit fox looks different to me then a grey fox and a red fox looks different again if you are around fox pens they look much different the the three I have mentioned
