Wondering if you have any agencies that deal with wildlife/predator problems? Over here, we have Fish and Game which will sometimes help with predators or at least tell you how to best deal with them (and what you can legally do). They will also usually know what's out there. I don't think you can have guns over there? Since that makes it harder to control predators on your own, I would think they might have agencies to help, since I think the UK is relatively backyard farm friendly? Otherwise, you take the steps to predator proof your range areas and watch them. The electric fencing might be likely to be the fastest to install and most effective IMHO.
