Congrats to Miss Ohio, and great kites!!! That octopus is awesome!

But just to join the fray re: KFC.... I'm not a PETA supporter but I boycott KFC. (Which is not easy as I LOVE the taste. But it's been 3 years since I had any.) But I bought my own hens because I am opposed to factory farming, and especially KFC's treatment of chickens. And yeah, I feed my hens chicken as treat sometimes too (and the odd pork chop bone, too) but it's all free-range and organic.

That's just my opinion. For all the haters out there, please don't lump us in with animal rights fanatics--animal welfare and farm-animal reform are at a completely different end of the spectrum.

i dont keep K.f.C near my chickens...or myself (ive seen the inside of there meat suppilers-Tyson) but that is a BEAUTIFUL little hen!

Since everyone likes the kite pics, here are a few more...

This is me launching my 100 sq ft Jordan airform. the tails are each 100 ft long, & it is flown on 500lb test line. It's anchored into the ground using the same ones you would use to anchor a trailer from flipping over in high winds.


Getting it to inflate on the ground with the wind

Running to get clear of the bridle lines as it takes off. Every year someone gets seriously injured or killed messing around with large, powerful kites.

Houston, we have liftoff.

Those are incredible kites. LCRT, you are a man of many mysteries, and when you share something like this and the chicken races, I am floored. And you must be a photographer as well.
Miss Ohio is a real looker! Are you sure that's a "Miss" Ohio?
I love the kites and Miss Ohio, very interesting stuff, but I could do without the KFC/who eats KFC talk. Someone could start their own separate thread for that.
