FREE EGGS -Winners on pg 5

I would like to nominate roosty. She did the egg swap and was so happy got just what she wanted. Bantam and standard Cochin's. She had candle her egg and 6 out of 12 where doing great. she called me to let me know and was not going to give up on the other 6. Will this after noon she call with bad news. Her little girl had turned the knob on the bator. I went up to 120 degrees, yep you know it cooked eggs. She said she open the bator and the eggs where too hot to even hold. They felt like eggs that had been boiled. She is a great person and has been helping people on BYC of a long time. She a kind person and is always willing to help anyone. Please give her some new eggs to love. Her bator is very lonely now.

We got a broody hen that looks a little like the hens you posted pics of, she laid the last of 3 eggs on Good Friday. This was the day her mate Tony the rooster passed away. That was over 3 weeks ago.

We thought we had some action on Monday morning, but nothing has happened since. Poor girl is being so good keeping herself spread out on them. If not this batch then perhaps in the future we could get some eggs from you.

Best Regards

Michael and Nan

this pic I shot yesterday could double as a Alice Cam

Man, am I off today... I thought I was in a different part of BYC... I thought that they were not fertilized... I disqualify myself! LOL I'm just having one of those days. I don't need any more chicks... 5 is plenty for me!

I want to double nominate Roosty. My two year old helped my "chippies" by crankin' the knob on my bator and they got up to 129 degrees overnight and they were all dead. I was so upset I couldn't even cry. (You know the heartsick that is too deep for words.)

It is a terrible, sickening feeling to find eggs that have been steamed in the shell when you have cared for them so lovingly....some more eggs in Roosty's incubator would cheer her up for sure!

I have also bought some eggs from rbamterry 2 times now. I love all the little featherfeet from here. I have been buying with my money that I make off my eggs since I have been unempolyed for 7 months now. been looking for a job but not having any luck.I buy feeed with both my unempolyment money and my egg money. To keep myself into the chicken business. I don't have the guts to get rid of my birds.

I would like to have your eggs because I have had a run of bad luck lately. I recently bought 12 polish eggs from a fellow BYC'r all 12 were fertile and doing great. On day 18 when I went to move them to the hatcher temp fell due to power outage. I did by chance have 2 hatch a WCB and a WCBL. They are a week old today. Next turn of bad luck last Thursday the direct Tv man drove up my driveway hitting my 16 year old chow. Wiley was my feeding partner she went with me everyday followed me to every cage just waiting for her little pat on the head. Next on Sunday a predator pulled my 6 month old WCBL roo through the cage leaving nothing but feathers. Same fate for my Buff laced and Gold laced hens. Hopefully last run of bad luck we have been having terrible weather tornados thunder lightening and terrible rains. I had 20 chicks in the brooder in the barn for some reason maybe they were scared with the thunder and lightening but they all huddled on top of each other in the corner smothering 12. So I need some good to happen these days!!

Aww, After hearing Roostys story, I nominate her too.

I remember I fried my eggs the very first time I tried incubating, I was devastated. But I got my second batch to hatch, I was SO happy.

I would like to win these eggs so that I can hatch them for a very dear friend. She lost her entire flock yesterday to a weasel, and she's devastated.

I'm sorry, but my friend is not a member of BYC.

She owns her own business and is just too busy to be actively involved in a forum. If my girls were laying, I'd give her some of my own eggs...but I've still got a bunch of freeloaders. Please, please, please think of the heartbreak my friend is enduring over the loss of her feathered children.
