Another fun morning in the garden. We have an arbor, and we plan on doing educational workshops on the butterflies. Low and behold, this beauty black swallowtail caterpillar is hanging around here at the "city farm" homestead headquarters #2 Mesa, Arizona U.S.A
When the peaches or any fruit is not that great, make refrigerator jam.
About 2 cups of peaches
1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of fresh or lime juice.
Cook on medium/high for 10 minutes, smash as it cooks
Once it has cooled I add a splash of vanilla.
Keep in the fridge for 2-3 weeks.
Going to make a peanut
& jelly sandwich.
This was fun, ehh kinda fun. The outcome will be.

Homesteading is a process, growing, picking, drying and don't waste anything. Even the stems will go out in the compost or tossed under a tree.
Comphry is one of our favorites to grow and use.
Ooppsss, some was spilled as I was taking a photo of the powdered Comphry.
Let's make a mix with coconut oil that will be used on scratches or cuts.

When you stop by our gardening stand, you'll see Saguaro fruit all over the ground in the next few weeks. The birds love this sweet, bright fruit.
Picking them for us to eat would be hard as this Saguaro are homes to many .

Did you know that most locations have a sign in book?
We love to see these kinds of notes and are such a pleasant surprise!
Thank you to this awesome delivery guy and his seed donation. They will get shared with other gardening exchange stands and seed libraries.
