@Kiki how are yours getting on?

Mine are on the mend but it’s been a messy week of injury and foul droppings, I think it’s coccidiosis but no idea how to know for sure and red suffered a severe head trauma/injured leg from repeated boinking for no apparent reason in the middle of the night.

I can spot some for sure males already.
I haven't weighed them since I put them outside. I will go weigh the two now. BRB

The 83 gram bird is not Mr. Big. It's just one I was able to grab quickly.
The other 2 weights are the orange and yellow birds.
They are the only two that are different/that I can pick out of the group.

Thanks for making this it’s loads easier to see their progress than how I was listing them, I thought mine were growing quick.. yours are huge! Double my biggest bird for the same age, are you sure they’re not jumbo!?
Your male looks a lot like my big black one I’m hoping is a female but does look a bit macho for a girl.

I'm 100% sure they aren't jumbo. They are eggs from my birds.

My male... I wasn't clear about how I can tell he is a male but the red chest feathers coming in is a clear sign to me that he is a male.

I'll go out and try to get a better picture of a male vs a female now.

I found this from another byc member for 3 weeks so mine are definitely on the small side.. probably not a bad thing as I wasn’t expecting 10.

I am sure I weighed some before...years ago..I'm just not sure where my notes are.

I'm setting eggs again tomorrow and this time what I'm going to do is I am going to house four birds starting on day one separately so I can keep track of four for sure different birds for the first few weeks.

Looking at your male vs female pics I reckon I’ve got 1 girl and 9 boys :/ could be because mine are Italian? Most people seem to be keeping the wild coloured ones, maybe Italians are supposed to look like macho midgets?
I’ll take some pics when they’re up in the morning.
