I would like too some day...to be honest with you I've never taken a vacation. I've been sick most of my life.so I always burned up my vacation days on Dr's appointments. Or to go to the mayo clinic...how sad we used to look forward to going to Mayo because it was like going on vacation.

Grand Canyon, you need to see the Grand Canyon. Go super early, like leave by five, take a nap in the noon (that is when the place is mobbed by people) And then enjoy the sunset. You won't regret it.

I second that Phil you must go see some of the country just take off and drive . the Grand Canyon is beautiful. then drive north through the Painted desert . Take an RV and just go . drive a little each day 150 /200 miles and stop where ever . Wish I could do it again . I've heard its really nice where you live . I would like to see it someday . got to get off here and go gather eggs and feed . late I know but worked really late today .
