as long as you didn't buy high shouldn't  hurt to bad . there is no way cattle can stay as high as they have been . hope you guys sold  when it peaked .

We should have sold last fall, but we fed them through the winter and are going to lose money. :/ Oh well but he is stressing.

So WV, did you ever sell the guy the quail and get the new eggs or is that the plan for the weekend?

He's coming to get them Sunday. I'm picking up 3 dozen more eggs for him on Monday to set Tuesday. I have 7 silkie/cochin eggs and 2 little cochin eggs (which I doubt will develop) in the bator with the turner on. Will turn on the heat tomorrow, and add the quail Tuesday!
Then I'll keep some of the quail from this next hatch, and he'll buy the rest.

Yep!! Well, I thought I was gonna keep these, but this was a good test batch!

I never thought to keep eggs in the incubator, turning, prior to incubation. I just put them in a carton on the counter with a book under one end.

That's a great idea!

Sooo tomorrow is the 12th anniversary of my first date with my hubby. And he is sick as a DOG!!

We're thinking its food poisoning. I've never seen him so pitiful. He's 6'3, 260ish, manly man! And this has positively brought him to his knees.

Somebody tell me what to give him! How long will this last? Its been about 36 hours since it really hit him.

I did it with the batch prior to the quail, but wish I had put these on as soon as the quail were done!
