We candled some of your eggs at school this morning.  Looking good!  Only one clear out of the ones we checked.  It was a an almost white egg.

Well, he's straight, one hen is almost stripped. I'll do a 6 day candle on his last set Sunday. If he's still 25%, out she comes. The other hens are starting to look a little roughed up, and I have actually seen him on 2 of the other 3, so

What happened? We're they sick? Did they get lost? He is a reputable breeder. Did they offer to send you out more?

He is a little better every day. Appointment with the surgeon in the morning (8:20 a.m. for those who will be wondering where I am! LOL) I hope he changes the meds. The antibiotics are making him sick now, and he's not eating enough. But its just a matter of time and patience.

My sister-in-law took those quail this past weekend, so I'll be able to follow up on them. That one is still white, with just a few black patches on its back. She texted me this morning and said one of the males crowed today!
