Yea, I decided to stack some of her local eggs knowing full well I'll be pulling some of the shipped ones out along the way. She said I could eat for breakfast anything that didn't fit, but I stuck them in anyways.

So...just turned 3 weeks old yesterday and already screaming cockadoodledoo!!

Thats a Bresse cross? mine never got very good at it, and i jus proccessed em at 5 months yest. But they Did start bery early

Just stuffed 2 dozen shipped Barnevelder eggs and 12 local Barnevelder and Barnevelder/Marans mixed eggs in my Brinsea. 8 of the locals are stacked in a second layer- laying down, I'll flip them over a few times a day.

Will be interesting to see what happens!

But I agree, with the possibility of losses on the shipped ones, I'd have stacked them too.

Might even be reverse psychology and they all do well. That's what happened when I got 3 dozen quail eggs, thinking I might get half fertility! Lol

So I've been home long enough to fix up all the birds for the weekend, clean up the kitchen a little, did my 14 day candle and marked my air cells. Now to wait for the gal to come get the LOs, then head to camp for the weekend! :yiipchick

Hubby went ahead this afternoon, so I guess I have some time to kill. Wish I didn't have to drive, cause I know its 5 o'clock somewhere.

Okay my friends the river calls...I've been fiddle farting around here too long today...I've been popping Motrin all day....I know I'm not supposed to...the Dr's would kill me....every time I do they threaten with..."you want a kidney transplant too"...but Heck I'm walking without a limp....gonna take advantage of it.... ....hope there are soon steelhead in the river today.....
