I think I read somewhere, a long time ago, that, unlike with cattle, you've got to burn a goat's horns off when they're young & the horns are just budding. very painful if you wait & cut them off. That sound right? I never bothered with mine.

you can with cattle or goats, when they are first starting.......just think it's a different sized plate,

if the goats don't need to defend themselves against predators you could dehorn them


with my kiko goats, it's only really a problem with them for the first 6 months.......after that, horns are too big for the fence......jsut a royal pain in the azz, when you can hear them hollerin stuck in the back of the pasture.
