French frogs

I'm trying to think of the easiest way to do it without ruffling feathers. It may be a little pic heavy

Um... what? Ruffling feathers?

This aught to be interesting.

And x 2 on the frankenhatcher. I was going to post the same thing but have been going in and out of cell service.
Do you think it's running too dry? It's not the Frankenbator. I'm incubating in Frankenbator, but hatching in a $100 foam incubator. I think it's an LG, but I'm not sure. It has a fan (not exposed) and the temp is preset.

I think what we were both saying is that we trust the Frankenbator more than the styro

Too dry, too wet, too hot, too cold or wide swings between all of the above. I've just heard too many horror stories about styrofoam. Of course, it could be something else, but I wonder.....

Where's my video? :gig

Yesterday was the first day I've gotten 3 AM eggs, and a couple were streaked with blood, so I may have a few new layers :thumbsup
As soon as I start consistently getting 3-4 per day I can start incubating :weee

That's great! Does the bloom streaks happen because they are pullets? I had that too, just a tiny bit.
I won't be brooding them.  I actually hatched these for another member that lives near me.  I've already delivered the chicks to her, and she'll get the ducks this weekend.

Oh, I thought you were keeping the ducks! :( I hope you get grow out pics!!

Do I need to do a wrap up of how I view the characters in the show?

Yes!

And they are all alive at lockdown? Can you try to do a hatch in the frankenbator just to compare results and narrow down if it really is the hatcher?

I see. I do have enough room to hatch in the frankenbator, but it would mean that the humidity would have to be high for the duration of the other eggs incubation. Anyone have experience doing this?

Maybe I will try it with the next batch.

:gig
:fl good luck! I now have 21 set!
You amaze me Turk! I'm having a good amount of pre-sales too. I hope they pan out. Someone asked for 4 pullets in spring. That's make 4 people on my wait list. For me and my small backyard flock, that's a lot but not close to your 30! :gig Do you ever take a deposit or just go on good faith?
What is it exactly? The feathers grow out instead of in? My neighbor has a white call he bought at auction like that. All the wing feathers point out. He trimmed them down so they don't look as bad but I didn't realize it was a "thing".
X3

:hugs thanks for the kind words! I need to start taggin you anytime i post those kinda updates. No i dont ask for any sort of deposit, But she cant hurt me even if she "sticks" me with all these pullets, you know? I could always sell em, its just an excuse to Buy the 50 eggs to set ;) that individual also? Will grow out my 7 current cockrels, which i have a proccessed chicken buyer for too. You keeping a notbook w all that customer info like i told you right?!

Maybe move the non-lockdown eggs to the styro for those 3-4 days?
