French frogs

Well I'm glad you didn't have any losses...real nasty weather you guys been getting...

X 2. I always have to decide who gets liquidated every time I think of hatching chicks. I refuse to get sucked in to chicken math.

Hope you get to go ice fishing this weekend Phil!

Yeah, working with slopes causes a bunch of problems. Usually you have good drainage though.

Our lot is really flat and rain just puddles in the low spots because there's nowhere for it to go. Good thing we don't get much moisture here.

Our ground holds onto water like a tick on a cur... old cow pasture over limestone and layers upon layers of clay... :/

I'm flat here but all sand...so it soaks in quickly...

Lucky you...

Barns are nice. Winterstorms, no worries, and I just leave the birds in there until things pass. The only negative is it is a lot of space to keep secure.

I'd gladly deal with that, lol... or have secured coops within it...

Weather was awful last night... took out a little temp banty coop... went out to check and didn't find any bodies... was wondering how far away they got blown and I hear my little Merry girl chirping at me... she led them all into the old duck house and they were safe and sound...

Awwww, that's sweet. Sorry you lost the house, but it shows that birds are a lot more resourceful than people give them credit for. Glad they are safe.
