French frogs

It's a small pike. Northern pike....the lake I was at had no size limit they want people to keep as many as they can. The lake is over run with pike. When they are small like that they are good eating. I throw the big ones back.
The biggest pike I ever caught was 45" and in the twenty pound range.

Well........3 day old baby AC chickies love to snuggle in beards!!! :lau

Not sure I have ever seen/eaten perch or pike. Love most kinds of fish, so I'd probably like them too!
perch and bluegill are so good..serious like little bites of heaven. I wish we could get better salt water fish here. I can't stand Cod. But I've had other salt water fish that was good...I love all other forms of sea food.

1) Spend more time fishing.
2) Spend more time hunting.
3) Spend more time ice fishing.

That's a good start. But really, I want to be breaking even with my chicken hobby, and would really prefer to make a little profit by the end of the year. Maybe I should sell out...

I'm right there with you on the fishing! We only took the boat out once last year and I didn't go fishing from the banks much at all,if any last year. Just too freaking busy working. This year, going to make time. I'll pass on the ice fishing. I'm a warm blooded creature;)

I've been looking at a Tenkara rod and really want to learn how to use one. Looks like it would be so much fun on the small streams up in the Jemez mountains here, to fish for Brown trout.
