for chicks when you get home! How many did you lockdown? I cracked another egg going into lockdown...
I'm still getting used to the 20. I had the mini's down to an exact science and I'm bad with change. But I think I will have to settle on 40% humidity throughout days 1-18. With both wells filled that's exactly where it sits. Hoping it will be a little higher over spring & summer. I did not lockdown in the 20. I got 30 eggs at a show. So I moved the dozen over (1 actually quit so 11) to the mini for lockdown and then filled the 20. I can easily fit 35+ bantam eggs in there. I added a couple of my own, so I'm up to 32 in there. Lockdown will be interesting. Still sitting with only 1 pip. Update if you can when you get home. These are the first AM chicks, right?
I was just going to ask about your eggs!! Did the tracking at least update??

Put a paper towel across the bottom of the incubator dipping into both wells. That will help get your lockdown humidity up!

Anyway, Detour kept this entitled guy in a big big truck from turning left... so he drove to the top of the hill, came to a complete stop,backing traffic up past the intersection ( we had to wait...) and when it was clear-for him- climbed over the median so he could have his' left turn" one block sooner than the rest of us underlings.
My husband showed me the proper hand signals to use in that situation, but the rest of the 'unentitled' held back from this guys selfish stunt were yelling and shouting and I think I might have heard some new words.

I am so tired of snow birds.
I need the machine gun wielding emote.

20 made lockdown, 2 are questionable. I have great hatches at 40%. Much higher than 42% and they start drowning. You will feel better after a hatch or two, but the 20 is rock solid.
These are my first AMs hatching this weekend, and I will set another batch as soon as the incubator is clean

20 made lockdown, 2 are questionable. I have great hatches at 40%. Much higher than 42% and they start drowning. You will feel better after a hatch or two, but the 20 is rock solid.
These are my first AMs hatching this weekend, and I will set another batch as soon as the incubator is clean

You were supposed to keep the snow up there. Now it's dipping further south than expected, and what we usually wind up with is ice, not snow. That means trees down on power lines. On day 21...
