and Ben is still going bare foot out in the snow and getting big hands full and eating it .ah I better run I sneak back when she asleep.

I had one that had a tan membrane I had given up on, you know I don't assist. All of a sudden, there was a chick. That was number 11. I still have 8 left, two pips. Only one of the splash rooster's left. They have hatched strong. I'll see what happens by in the morning, then make the call then. Even with my precious AMs, I'm not looking for internal pips or assisting. The wry neck last night reminded me how much I dread culling. Thankfully it improved. I would like to set again tomorrow night, then again next weekend

I did assist the wrong end pipper. And it's abdomen is HUGE. So, I'm a bit concerned if it will make it. I've had only black and partridge chicks hatching. Everyone wants white and of course this chick is the first white one I get! I'm leaving it in the incubator till morning. And I'm still waiting on the one pip with tape. There's still veins, so I left it. I'm collecting some paint eggs now. I'm up to 3. (Only 1 paint hen). So I was thinking of setting whatever I can get next weekend too! Are you going to hatch any chicks to grow out or are you just hatching and selling? So far, I'm selling all these chicks until I get my breeder pens set up in spring.

At least the snow has stopped, the sun is out now, and the temps are above freezing.

well it looks like it is just me and the monsters tonight. FIL has decided it is too cold and is flying south for the winter again. DH is driving him to the airport and asked me if it was ok for him to get a hotel up there so he doesn't have to wake at 3 am :/ Of course it was ok.
So now we the girls and I are eating popcorn and watching Sleeping beauty, we will probably just camp out on the couch tonight. I do not sleep well when he is gone, I know it is irrational.
Starting on drink one! Cheers!

I'll never show them. Actually wasn't planning to keep those 2 boys because of numbers, but the girl is very pretty, so maybe I should keep a pair and separate them for breeding? I'll get some pics of the SDW girl tomorrow

Kid had a good time tonight...did okay too...we kept enough for a meal. But caught over 40 bluegill......now I got fish to clean. ...:/
