Ok here a quick background on me. I have been married for 19 years. Ugh! My hubby is a registered nurse and works at a mental institution on CSU... the crisis stabilization unit. Don't know how he does it! I'm a nurse too but I much prefer selling on eBay!
Two kids 15 & 18. A mixed flock of 14 chickens that are pets that give us eggs!!! Lol!
I'm getting 20 Ameraucana chicks March 8th from a very reputable breeder. Took some persuasion but the hubby is finally going to build me a large new run that we will divide into 3 different pens for our birds,
We live in the middle of Kansas, Hays. We r 6 hours from Denver & 4 from KC Missouri

welcome over! I envy your 19 years married. I've done it, but it took 2 husbands but I'll get there with the current one!

What kind of birds do u have? I saw your new baby chicks they are adorable! Especially the little silver one! I hope she's a little pullet for ya!

I had a lot of different breeds years ago and we've kept a family laying flock for years. Just now getting back into it. I've got nice white silkie pullets, the chicks, three nine year old LF hens (SLW, WPR, BO) and a pet quality silkie rooster. I'm getting some nice AM chicks from scflock next week. I want a few Salmon Faverolles, but they are not that easy to find. What about you?

I'm here, just finished dinner and finishing up my Angry Orchard.

Bought chick food today and a small container at the dollar store to put the horizontal chick nipple waterers into. I figure it's worth a try and better than cleaning shavings out of the water twice a day. Anyone else use them?
