Two out, all but one pipped

Finally the first one is out!
The black basket is about 1-1/2" deep, if that gives you any idea how tiny these babies are! Zip completed in less than 15 minutes. I almost burned my steak!

Yay!!

Great news WV and SC!! Congratulations.

My very first homegrown pure Orloff is kicking out now. I'm so excited!
Cool! Congrats!

Since you asked, Two little Spangled Russian Orloff:

Awe

What is?

I've had them, I loved them. Lucky we have a little Barred Rock roo

Maybe my sister will let me keep him. He's really nice, one of the few chicks who don't peck you when you stick your hand in the pen.
My barred girls are some of my least favorite.I just don't care for them.

7 would be 100%, but it doesn't feel like it after tossing 21 eggs. So far all blue, dark blue. I'll hold splash for you if I get any, but my beautiful splash rooster is a product of two blues

:old You are not understanding young Grasshopper Frawg. You might want to keep three chicks from this hatch for yourself. I have a strong feeling there will special birds in this hatch. Can't explain its one of my personalities that rarely speaks out loud. Life cannot be predicted by only what one sees.

Usually I think that's a bunch of crap, but these are good looking chicks. Mostly a product of the splash rooster and black hens. If the second hatch hatches most developed eggs, I will have a few left over after #1 and you get yours. The blues are so dark they look black, but that's impossible in that pen
