Ok everybody, sorry I just caught up! Going swimming soon!

So the old man came this evening and bought my 2 black cockerels...he was so sweet and nice! And...instead of 50 I got 60 for them! But I bet I couldn't do that twice. I'm just glad it happened once! These olé Kansas farmers are interesting to talk to! He was impressed with how tame they were. Well, their like my pets so I'm just glad they went to a good home. For good money! Lol.

They look like my Henny Penny. Imagine that. Lol Are there just the 3? What color's do u have?

You have a sebright and OEGB too? Geez, we have good taste :D

I have silver duckwing cockerel over one SDW female and a few mixed females. I also have 2 young SDW girls that I hatched, and it looks like a couple of these new babies may be SDW. As you can guess, SDW is my fav, so I'm selling 2 of my mixed girls tomorrow (for a kid's 4-h project) but I'm keeping the mixed momma here and one other. This momma is Harriet, named for Oz, because she is missing toes :D

4 of her 9 babies hatched. She was off the nest when I got home from work. The other 5 eggs were cool, so I candled them. 2 DIS, but 3 still going, one of those internally pipped, so I brought them into the hatcher. We'll see what happens now. :fl

I hope the 3 hatch for you. I bet the little mixed colored ones are pretty too. I had no idea they came on so many colors! My Old English are some of my very favorites it would be a hard choice between them and my Ameraucanas. I have Henny Penny ha ha, my bb red, a silver duckwing, Turkey a self blue? who is pigeon colored, named Pigeon! And my beautiful little Nelly who's jet black, she's so beautiful to me.

and Sebright is a silver Sebright who hunches up with her little wings spread out constantly for a good month now! Wish I had some fertile eggs for them. Lol. 3 out of 4 are broody. Nelly is the top dog of the coop. It's funny watching her put my Easter Eggers in line. Their like 5 times her size! I'll try and post their pics later on. Their just so sweet, I love their little faces!

That's awesome - a good sale and you got to meet an interesting person to boot!
Yes they are OEGBs. They are so sweet. My sebrights are not that sweet! They arent mean, but not friendly either.

Love OEGB, that was our plan for DS's 4-H birds this year prior to all plans going out the window and things falling into the big game of limbo we are currently in.
He works 14 hr days, comes home and passes out... it's not toughness, he's adept at avoidance...

Heck, go ask the peanut gallery yourself...

So true - winter is a great time for spending lots of time on BYC with all the cold weather and short hours of daylight, get to this time of year and things start to really pick up in the "real" world.

For sure I feel guilty sometimes but I really get busy....then when I'm not busy I'm getting busy.....then there's the ball games.....Dave?....I don't know....summertime blues I guess
Hey Phil, how's the garden coming?

A year from now I would jump at this....right now I am not set up for incubation. That is this winters project

Yeah, me too.

So what's the problem, no room in the bator or nothing to trade?  Both fixable, my friend...
