they almost always need help to get out. just be sure to give it as much time as possible to absorb the egg sack. If you have to assist, go really slowly. do a bit, then stop - repeat

Oh, I'm not going to mess with it for awhile. One of my previous hatches from 2 years ago, I'm pretty sure I had one that pipped in the "wrong place" also. I can't remember what happened with that chick, but I'm trying to not open the incubator this time at all once they start pipping & hatching. Lost too many chicks before when I opened it, even when no one was currently pipped or zipping. Wow! That was a fast one.my 1st one is out and drying off in the bator but "SHE" is squirming around so much I may have to move her to the brooder box.
