Hmmm. My second husband was 20 years older than I was. I don't think it's "daddy issues" as much as being attracted to men who are confident, self assured, and intellectuial, people I can learn something from. (in other words men who are not in thier 20's). When I was 19 I spent time with a lovely 63 yr old 'Nam vet. A firey relationship that imploded when his grandchildren objected (we were the same age). Even now most of my friends are a generation older or a decade younger, with vastly different ideas and experiances. I like the growth that comes for people who are different influencing each other. (Which explains Boyd and I yin and yanging off each other).
Wow Saddi, well said. I've always gone for older guys myself, for exactly your reasons "confident, self assured, and intellectuial, people I can learn something from". And not for nothing, but they generally appreciate the right things in a girl.
My figure won't last forever, so I needed a man who could handle my mind. My current husband, will tell you i'm smarter than he is, and has no issues about having the girl handle the heavy thinking. Don't get me wrong, he's brillant on all things technology and science, and I adore being loved for both my mind and my figure.
My favorite verse is prov. 31:30 "Charm is decietful and beauty is passing...."
