I have only had one bird in my entire flock go broody until recently. I have an insistent BO that will NOT give up. Ken, the dork, has collected the eggs in her nest twice because "she wasn't on them".

Third time is a charm.

I told him after the second time "OMG! She gets up to drink!!!!!" Now I told him I will collect the eggs and to stay the hell away from the boxes.

Yesterday my seramas were supposed to hatch. Mr saddi decided to "help" and rewire the incubator instead of setting up the light for the brooder. I came out of the shower and my eggs were cold on the counter. I did not kill him he doesn't even know why it's bad. I reset them... but nothing is happening. I was hoping since they hadn't pipped it'd pan out.

Hey, do y'all know anything about SQ? I posted this topic : https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=331475&p=1 and I got some great responses, but I just received a PM that some people get a bit uppity so to speak about a bird being hatchery and so automatically not SQ. I don't have that much interest in showing my birds. Seems like a lot of hassle for a pretty ribbon that isn't all that beneficial since I'm not hatching or selling hatching eggs. I might have more interest if I quit rodeo and trail riding my horses most weekends... Anyway. I just thought I'd ask.

So how was everyone's Friday?

Well, it depends on the show. At county-fair level shows a good healthy bid can do well, it often comes down to what the judges perfer.

Think about olympics, two skaters can do the same move but one gets "artstry" points because the judges just plain like the dance better.
