that's the one thing I hope our current government administration does do. Lift the embargo against Cuba. We currently can't go legally.

a friend of mine lives in MI but married a canadian girl they went to cuba a few years back but they came here to toronto for a week and MIL "surprised" them with a trip to cuba, all paid for on MIL visa and the travelers cheques were in the wifes name so the US citizen went but did not spend US money to do so...

stupid rule anyway..

Oh dear...that is a tough one, but I think I would do like the others and not start loaning money.

I have a friend who I have known for years & she is constantly complaining that she is "broke," but last month she was willing to spend $600 on a hotel alone to take a beach vacation just because.....I see why she is "broke" as she had to charge it all. Still she complains incessantly to me. (I'm actually getting to the breaking point with here & might say something, such as, What would Dave Ramsey say?!) So, I think sticking to your "polite guns" in not loaning money would be the best way to go possibly & see what happens. She may just "find" the money?? I have seen that before as well....
