Mine dont seem to but I am NO expert. They just kinda hop from perch to perch.

get some parlor tumblers or rollers they do not fly after they ground them selves

Frillbacks can fly but shouldn't be let out of the loft as they can't' maneuver well because of the curls. They are perfect hawk bait if you let them fly.
