18 Days-old on the possible frazzle chick. Still haven’t come up with a name for her. I’m thinking it’s a she (crossing fingers). She is super sweet and loves snuggles.

You can see that while her hatchmate (named Dove) has more feather development. The little frazzled girl has less so and near the feather shaft there is still dry skin and a coating of skin around the base of the feather shaft. Her skin flakes and is perpetually dry.

I have them on a high quality organic, 20% chick feed from Scratch and Peck Feeds (also includes fish meal), with the addition of a few crumbled mealworms in the morning and evening for additional protein to assist with feather growth.

I might try adding in some daily scrambled eggs, it can help them feather better, and faster. It looks to be growing in some big major feathers all at once which can be uncomfortable.

Here she is one day shy of a month-old. I included one of her sister who is twice her size (the fluff makes her look bigger). Her sister also has far more feathers developed.

2 1/2 months. She is still far smaller, and much more immature than her sister. She spends most of her time perched on my shoe, while her sister grazes the lawn. Her name is now Raven.

My frizzle is now laying and looking quite grown up. The olive egg(little darker than it looks in pic) is hers, nice size for a first egg too.
