Frizzle thread

Bantam size can work with large fowl but I think it is best if they are raised together. You might have to keep her with you. She will love you for saving her from that horrible sounding life. You can try her out with your existing flock but Id keep a close eye on her. Poor thing doesnt need any more grief in her life.

Can anyone tell me what a smooth frizzle is? Or better yet, does anyone have a pic?
I know nothing about the breed, but my daughter has been begging and a lady is selling "smooth" ones.

A smooth frizzle is just a regularly feathered bird. I have one and it just looks like a regular cochin. If you were closer, I would gift your daughter a frizzled cockerel. I have 2 and do not need them.

Bummer! I would have taken it! My daughter is looking for the actual "frizzled" feathers, so i guess I'll keep looking.

This is krewella her feathers have a barb but are still silkie!!! I think she frizzled

Krewella is definitely frizzled. But in a silkie I believe it is then a sizzle.

Usually means it has the frizzle gene, such as one parent was frizzle and one was smooth and it got the smooth part.
