Yeah Sticky eggs can be a real killer. The guide to hatching brought up the problem of there being too much fluid, which can overstress and kill the chick during the pipping stage. At one point I noticed my humidity was insanely high because I had followed the instructions for the incubator itself. When I began comparing the cells with images and references here on the site, I followed a step of draining all the water from it and running it at about 35% humidity up until I did the safety holes last night and into this morning. The change in air cell size after that was remarkable. They quickly expanded and save a few which haven't even pipped internally yet, all have been breathing fine for about 24 hours now. As the guide says: The importance of humidity can never be understated. I bought a few hygrometers on Amazon, made sure they were calibrated, and tossed them in. It was a worth while investment as it allowed me to get an accurate reading of humidity inside the bator.

Pick up a couple thermometer/hygrometer combos at Walmart or the like, bring them home, and google how to test them for accuracy. Ones at the pet stores are nice too, but can be more expensive. Aquarium, or reptile ones are usually the most accurate, but cheap ones are ok, as long as you know how far off they are, and adjust accordingly.
I have several the one that broke just needs batteries but it quit in the middle of incubation and its really hard find thermometers that work lol
Thanks for support and information!;)
