The neighbors already think I'm a froot loop after watching my non-linear, free form grass cutting. The last thing I need is to be lawn mowing with a shot of gin in me!

mowing? thats nothing. here's some free advice:

dont try and milk your goats if you are tequila-drunk

we have a new rule: no cocktails before milking

ticks are horrible here this year too hubby walked in from woods and had to comb him down and get them off,boy behind us yesterday dad was pulling 6 buggers off him. all i can say is YUCK YUCK

We have to use Advantage, too. Frontline proved to be 'salad dressing' from a flea's perspective. Advantage works like a charm!

I know some folks who swear by Avon's Skin So soft for chiggers and ticks. Doesn't seem to work for skeeters though....

I'm so glad to hear someone else does free-form grass cutting! I always do that because I get bored going in straight lines.

Avon actually has a child's and adult bug spray for ticks, no-see-ums & mosquitoes. It works well & I bought 6 bottles of it last fall. I need a case already! I have removed 8 ticks in the last week or so from myself, only a few from DH! (I think they like me better) I HATE THEM! I almost want to move back to the city.....Well that's not true. I am going to either use DE on my front yard and dog yard, or Sevin dust. I think so far this year is the worse in the four years that I have lived here. We have used Frontline on our dogs, does not seem to be working. I will try the Advantix... hope it works better! We do have cut wood that we need to get rid of, maybe we will have a big fire pit! We will mow the grass more often, just had a hard time getting it cut between all the rainy days. Theresa

HA! That's me too. I have a riding mower so it's sort of an artistic NASCAR event out there when I mow. Whoohoooooooo!!!!

Back when I had to mow grass, my DH (BF back then) used to really get frustrated with my casual approach to mowing and straight lines. He never asks me to mow now that we're married!

goobhen, I have a coworker that loves the Avon bugspray/sunscreen. But it doesn't like my skin (or vice versa).
