Just wondering if it’s true that you can put Vaseline on ducks feet so they don’t get frostbit?

What have you used?

I've never had a duck with frostbite. I don't think it's necessary as long as they have a dry, draft-free place to bed down at night.

No harm in asking! As long as they have the dry draft free place I wouldn't worry about putting Vaseline on them. Frostbite does happen in ducks but it's pretty uncommon.

I would not want to get the feathers on their bellies matted and unable to trap warm air or cover the feet appropriately. Keeping them completely dry and not-damp sounds like the best idea.

for chickens anyways, on their combs and waddles. I was thinkin mabey they read it for chickens instead of ducks.
