Frozen Watermelon to Beat this Texas Heat

You know how your Grandma always warned you as a kid not to eat the white part of the watermelon because it will “give you the trots?” Well, I think that just might apply to chickens too... My girls are leaving me some biiiiiiig presents!

I give my chickens frozen cabbage, they love picking it apart. Although my roosters love it when it thaws and starts turning to sauerkraut in the sun... I find it very gross and smelly, it even begun attracting vultures it smelled so bad. My hens never eat it after it thaws
