FS BLRW eggs in MI

Your birds are gorgeous! A hawk just nabbed my ONLY BLRW girl last friday:(. She was my favorite in the flock, and I miss her.
I would love to buy a half dozen eggs from you. I also have a few more breeds I want to get and I haven't yet found anyone to get them from so I am hoping that I can work it out so they all come at one time. BLRW are my priority though, so I will try to work the others around when you have eggs available, if you still have any!
And if you know of anyone selling Silver Laced Wyandotte, Partridge rock, or Jersey Giant eggs, I would appreciate the info.
Thank you!!!

Hi Tamra,

I have lots of interest, and sent three boxes out this week (1/2 dozen) but no one has claimed anymore this week and I have eggs that could go out tomorrow or Saturday if you are interested.

I have SLW, but I am having fertility issues with my rooster. I have two young boys coming up to replace him, but need to put them in, and then check fertility, so it will be a little while before they will be ready. At least a month. Not sure who else has them.

Great!
Whichever works better for you. I will go out and get an incubator tomorrow so it will be all ready for them when they arrive. Maybe this is a stupid question, but if I do find the other breeds I want in the next few days/week, can I add them to the ones already in there without trouble? I would like them to go in and come out around the same time for my own convenience, but I can be flexible. I just want to make sure I won't mess up the incubation process or anything.

If you only have one incubator and you are new to incubating, I would not stagger your hatch. I would either do this hatch and wait for the others or hold off until you can co-ordinate all the eggs at once, it is to hard with the humidity. Up to you, just let me know what you decide.

Thanks for the advice!
As I said, BLRW are my priority, so I still want them. Maybe with luck I will find some of the other breeds tomorrow that will arrive at the same time, but if not, I will at least have them!
I can always do the others later.
So how do I go about paying you? I am sort of new to this whole process.

vicki I have a few questions.
#1 were did your stock come from also your welsummers?
#2 when and how do you sex your blrw?
#3 when will you have both breeds available and can you do a combine order of the 2?
Also on the color blue splash black of the blrw, on the chicks how do you tell blue from splash and is the black one's black ?
Hope that made sense.
Thanks

Hi, I will try to answer the best I can, if I didn't understand your question or my answer is not clear, feel free to ask again!

1. My BLRW, most came from eggs purchased from a breeder in AZ that I hatched. Most were splash, a few blue. I then purchased a Black laced rooster from Opa, here on BYC, who I believe had purchased him from the Monastery in OH, to cover my hens, and sold the other roosters. It has worked really well, as I am producing all colors, about 60-70% blue, with some splash and black laced as well.

My Wellies I got a few pullets also from Opa, but the majority came from a breeder north of Ithaca, here in Michigan. His name is Bill, but I can't remember his last name. He bought all his birds from breeders as eggs he had shipped in. I bought them as started stock.

2. I don't sex my BLRW until they are older, I have the hardest time with wyandottes, little stinkers are hard to tell on! I am still learning and fairly new to breeding.

3. Both breeds are available and I would be happy to combine shipping.

4. In the chicks, it is hard to tell for sure until they start feathering out, but usually, the very light chicks are splash, medium chicks blue and darkest chicks are either dark blue or black laced. Do you mean are the black laced birds black chicks? No. Or do you mean are the black laced birds black? No, they are black laced red. Let me see if I can find some pics for you.

vicki thank you for answering my questions.
I'm going to have to see how the egg money is, I'll get with you on that by PM when I'm ready.

I need to take some pictures of my blrw chicks. I would love to see pictures when you get time.

on the black I have chicks that look to have more of a black base color, the breeder said that they could be blue and the ones that look like blue down he said would be splash.

Hi Vicki,

Would you happen to have 12 more BLRW eggs to ship out on 06-22? If so, I would like to purchase them from you please. And if not, how soon do you think till your next dozen would be available?
