I love the pictures of your animals! I miss having dogs and cats, my husband doesn't want to be tied down...so we get rabbits, that give us tons of babies & escape artist chickens...we're not tied down...

If we can’t take the pups we don’t go. The chickens and rabbits I can have my kids take care of, but pups go with.
I can’t wait to see the kits when they get a little bigger. Baby buns are so adorable!

My husband likes animals & he enjoyed all of the cats and dogs we've had, but he doesn't want to take them when we go anywhere, so I'm puppy and kittyless for now! He's currently bottle feeding the baby rabbits...he said one isn't very active ...this was not a good time for me to be away. Hopefully my boy's will finish the Jeep & I can get home to take care of them!

Awe, I hope the little one will be ok! I understand not wanting to drag them with, it can be a hassle. Our travel plans are pretty much nonexistent, unless we have to go to a funeral or something we don’t go far from home. Sad but true.

There is no rest for the wicked lol. My plans are to work on preparing for the next batch of chicks due Wednesday and to get those wood chips finished. Then we need to erect the garden so I can prep for planting the fall stuff, will probably purchase the lumber this weekend and do that next weekend. My welded wire should arrive today.

You must have been very wicked to deserve all that work! (But actually, it sounds kind of fun to do some garden work.)

This afternoon the sun is sort of peeking out of a haze. I suspect it’s smoke from the fires in CA because clouds would have burned off long ago. I got two society garlic plants into the xeriscape area today so I think that’s just about done except for the growing. I also planted the climbing roses in the shade garden. They’ll get sun year round but not all day in summer, most of the day in the winter based on the angle of the sun. A lot of the fairy duster seeds have already sprouted, woo hoo! They are such a pretty plant when they bloom. My new desk arrived today and so did the welded wire for the garden walls. I bought 100’ of it because it’ll come in handy in case I need a cover over the garden or whatever else.

Last evening I went to feed the flock and they were all in the xeriscape garden, even the wee babies. They come out to forage with Cuckoo and the rest of the crew in the morning as well. Going to have to consider an early morning bathroom break from work everyday here soon, we’ll have owls around again before long I’m sure and it’s actually pretty dark when I start at the salt mine.
Anyway, back to work for me, I’m rearranging the office.
