All house bunnies should have a castle

Compared to some bunnies these two have a castle within a castle. I still want to figure out a way to get them outside when the weather is cool.

The shade garden is in transition. We measured all the way around and I’m going to put lighter shade on the sides all the way around the top half of the structure. I found a cute gnome at walmart this morning to add to that garden and bought a mini mushroom kit to try.

One of the lantana and one of the bells of fire are struggling a bit with reflected heat from the east wall of the yard. I think the shade will help that issue a bit as well.
We have enough eggs now that I’ve hard boiled some to make deviled eggs today. By next weekend I anticipate making scrambled eggs to give those a try too. Once the pasta salad and eggs are done I’m going to turn on the tv and take a nap with the pups.
I went to the eye doctor last Friday. I was really concerned that I’d screwed up and kept taking the migraine maintenance drug when I shouldn’t have. Topiramate can cause glaucoma type pain and cause eye problems. Thankfully that’s not my issue but I’ll be going for cataract surgery soon I hope. I haven’t been able to drive any further than walmart or Kroger since last year and it sucks. I’m not even comfortable taking the dogs for a walk at the park alone because I can’t see wild animals and try to avoid them. If it was a rattle snake that could be a bad thing. So, keeping my fingers crossed! Our insurance begins tomorrow.

You seem too young to worry about cataracts, I always think of that as an old person's problem.

My mom said the same thing, she was 70 before she needed surgery for cataracts. My dad was even older.
I will keep you posted on the mushroom experience. I need to have hubs read me the directions but the kit is self contained and is supposed to grow them in ten days. These are oyster mushrooms, I need to read up on what to use them in and make something.

My morning routine is to give the bunnies a piece of fruit before I start work. Both buns come and take it right from my hand. I can honestly say HopTart would beat up Kevin for blueberries if he didn’t run away and hide to eat his.
