Yes from my sons flock. As I suspected, the white one is a rooster so he didn’t stay. The little pullet has muffs

The rooster was on the roost this morning. The pullet was on top of one of the nest boxes. I’m ok with it, will leave them to do their thing for a few days. The rooster seems to have things backward though. When I go out there he tidbits me and chases the chickens off He has no idea how to be a chicken, poor dude.

I really don’t know. Maybe 4 or 5 months? A little younger than the 4 girls. Still young but he was primarily indoors. He and a duck hatched with other ducklings, but both had leg issues and were rejected by the hen. The kids took them inside and they’ve never been with a flock before. I don’t know the housing situation for them, I don’t think he and the pullet spent much time together either. The roo is attached to humans and he wants human attention so I’m trying to figure out how to handle him. When he starts tidbitting me and has the girls attention I’ve been backing away and letting him attract them. He’s a big, goofy guy and possibly still has leg issues. I don’t care, he’s really a sweet boy and we’ll figure it out. He can get on and off the roost just fine and can run. He just needs to learn he’s a chicken.
