Not much and nothing was successful. Igor bought me one a long time ago, our library had nothing about the practice and the tree died.
Fast forward 25 years and I can watch YouTube videos of a guy in the UK who teaches people about it. It’s something I’ve had interest in for a long time though.

Yea, the green willows I have are an outdoor version. I’m supposed to have an indoor version delivered.

You can bonsai many different things. I was thinking of trying a rosemary and an olive, I can take cuttings of my own plants to root in water to start those.

Using your rosemary and olive would make for an interesting experiment. Keep us posted on how things come along!

I hadn't kept any indoor plants until I came back to the UK and got the flat I now live in. I blame my eldest who seems to have all the plants inside the house and all the furniture outside. Well, I've got the bug now. I can't walk past a plant shop now.
I'll post some pictures of a few outside Bonsai trees after my next visit to the eldest.
