IM,,, Weather permitting,, you can do a lot of your cooking outside,, without heating up your house. It was a two pound meatloaf, 1.5 hours to reach 165 in the center.

When I read that,,,,I made some refried beans for tacos tomorrow

I'm pulling out a baggie of mine from the freezer, and will have those corn tortilla rolls later today.

Thank you Cavey, we do BBQ but it’s terrible hot here in the summer. 110+ for weeks and only cooling to the mid 90’s at night. It’s a drag to BBQ much when it’s that hot; when we do we fill the grill. We use charcoal for grilling, propane is for canningIM,,, Weather permitting,, you can do a lot of your cooking outside,, without heating up your house.
Did I also mention for FREE.
Here in my cave, during summer, we do more BBQ grilling outdoors.
I also made a refractory base, I place on grill so that I can bake pizzas. Side burner I can boil pots of cooking food.
Propane is of course not free, but it does not heat up the house, so no need to AC.![]()
Our A/C is already on, likely until November. We will be up to 102 this week. I’m thinking about putting the shade up over the garden this coming weekend.
