It's 12:44 am not a good time to eat before bed.
Maybe just grab a nice cold glass of milk then to tide you over until breakfast?

The bigs are 20 weeks today. I found a couple soft shelled eggs broken on the poop board and a couple in the nest yesterday so I'm really not sure how many are laying.
The rooster will be around for another week or so. He is so darn pretty, but related to half the pullets and I'm not sure which. He's also a jerk but one I've been able to work with so far.
Temps will go down to double digits next week! Hopefully to stay so the littles can move outside. I have a few more things to do in the mini coop and then it'll ready so maybe I can get them outside by the 14th. The oldest 2 of that group are going a little stir crazy inside but temps are still near 110 for a few more days.
We had a visit to the vet, the dogs have Kennel cough and we learned it's going around the dog park
I've been sitting with the 2 oldest a few times over night in a steamy bathroom which seems to help quiet the cough for a while. The youngest had a wee cough but she seems to be doing well so far. I thought they'd be out of danger since they're all up to date on shots. Apparently they can still get it, just not as bad. This likely means no park for a bit, just as temps are starting to become bearable.

Frank and his owie from the fight Sunday compared to today. I didn't expect it to scab.
The vet mentioned that they're seeing more cases of valley fever this year but suspects our dogs have Bordatella, kennel cough, since more than one dog has it. I've read this can spread like a cold and it's like the flu...it depends on which strain they're vaccinated for. It can turn into pneumonia so you have to keep an eye on them. Frank is already feeling better today, back to barking and growling at the neighbor and he actually played a bit. View attachment 1900944
Sunrise, the best time to be outside.
Hope Frankie gets well soon - then hopes for Abbi to do the same.
@igorsMistress I was watching the new's and they said there was a microburst over your way. Are you ok?
Poor Frank, hope that owie clears up soon. Glad to hear he's feeling better from the kennel cough.
Pretty sunrise photo! Are your temps getting any cooler yet?
The weather forecasts keep saying it's going to cool down, but then they change their mind![]()
