@igorsMistress I do believe that you have enough to work with over there now. I would have posted something here earlier but I was waiting for my 2 new NN hen's to get here, and then I had to see how thing's went. I had to pen up the black silkie roo Romeo, because he was going too crazy. The new hen's will have some peace now in getting adjusted to their new home. The new cream colored NN is the mother, and the brown hen is the daughter. The mother is smaller than her daughter is.

IM, just wanted to give you an update on my lentil bean sprouting (since you were the instigator ;) )...

It was fun to watch them grow! I wasn't crazy about the taste of them, but my flock loved them.

I'm going to start a new batch sprouting of something else today, not sure what yet. I'll keep you posted!

I like the turkens, I think the naked necks draw more attention on to their eyes. They look like very kind chickens.

It's easier to see the wattles on the male chick's when they start dropping, because you don't have all of the feathering in that area to cover them up. :D

They aren't my favorite either, I don't care for lentils in any form so I gave them to the chickens too :highfive:What did you decide to try this time?

I got side-tracked yesterday and didn't get anything new started. But today I will. Was thinking of trying the broccoli ones (those are some you liked, right?).

Yup we like those. How are you using the sprouts? If I sprout legumes I usually put them into a thick soup or stew raw just before serving. Broccoli etc I use in sandwiches mostly, but I've chopped and put in salads also.

On the lentil sprouts, I just tasted them raw to see if I'd like them. When I find one we like I figured I'd use them in sandwiches and salads. Good idea to try them in soups!
