Nice harvest! Something tells me there just might be artichokes in the near future for dinner (just my psychic powers at work there).
Probably tomorrow night. And squash, I think I'll saute it in butter with a little garlic :drool
 
Oh sure, just need to plant at the right time. I'm hoping the other garden area will be ready in fall to plant.

We used to grow a lot of squash in north FL, especially the winter squash. Our favorite was one called Buttercup (not butternut), it was a great tasting one.
 
How did you prepare it? I've never heard of it.

Just like a lot of other ones. Cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, put a dab of butter in the cavities with salt & pepper, cover with foil and bake until fork tender. I think I used to put a little water in the baking pan too, to keep the squash from sticking.

I was ordering seeds for fall/winter planting today and a packet to try. Thanks for the suggestion!
