How did you prepare it? I've never heard of it.We used to grow a lot of squash in north FL, especially the winter squash. Our favorite was one called Buttercup (not butternut), it was a great tasting one.

I was ordering seeds for fall/winter planting today and a packet to try. Thanks for the suggestion!Just like a lot of other ones. Cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, put a dab of butter in the cavities with salt & pepper, cover with foil and bake until fork tender. I think I used to put a little water in the baking pan too, to keep the squash from sticking.
