I just took ice out for everyone and the babies were under the shade by the pool with Cuckoo. So happy they’re spending time out of the coop!

They really are tiny aren’t they? They have feathered feet and look like little penguins when they waddle around.
I’ve been wrong about sex once before and thought a pullet was a cockerel, but the d’Uccles I’ve seen that are black are mostly boys.

They're adorable little things!

I like the look of feathered feet but haven't ever had any birds that were.

I don't like the feathered feet on chicken's because they get dirty and clumped up. I tried silkies before, but didn't keep them for long. Mud, chicken poop, and whatever else get's tangled up in those feathered feet, because they walk right though them.
