Fugly Farm

I don't like the feathered feet on chicken's because they get dirty and clumped up. I tried silkies before, but didn't keep them for long. Mud, chicken poop, and whatever else get's tangled up in those feathered feet, because they walk right though them.

I wondered with our snow, if snow clumps would be a problem sticking to their feet. Sounds like it could be.
 
They're adorable little things!

I like the look of feathered feet but haven't ever had any birds that were.
I like the look but I’m wondering about mess like @BlueBaby mentioned. We’ll see though, my yard doesn’t have much dirt exposed now. I may try selling them when they’re at POL too rather than keep them, I don’t really know yet.

Or you might enjoy them so much, a little dirty foot is ok!

Franks after bath ritual. He dries off, gets a cookie and then snuggles in a dry towel
