I love north AZ! Glad you got some pictures :)
It’s not as pretty this year as in years past. No wildflowers and still very brown in a lot of places. It was chilly up there, 45 degrees and I left home in shorts. I did take a sweatshirt though.
 
I kept everyone locked in the side yard today to make sure the girls mingled with Jasper before they were closed into their coop for the night. I may leave them in there for the day tomorrow although Jasper followed them right in at bed time. When I let him out of his box it wasn’t long before he and Bean were talking to each other with the other girls joining the conversation shortly after. Bean is definitely the lead hen and I find it interesting to view their behavior together. I’m looking forward to watching the flock dynamic with a drake in the mix.
 
I dunno how I feel about the name Samuel. I like Jasper and it’s not common. Samuel isn’t either but it doesn’t feel right. Jasper seems more my style. Still thinking it over

Jasper is a good name!
