Last night I had to tuck a few babies in, but all are out and about today. They are tiny babies, a few smaller than usual I think.
I just went out to top up the food and give them clean water. I tossed a few tiny seeds out and some chick grit. Mama has them all foraging about and she’s clucking away. The babies won’t or can’t follow her out of the coop so need to figure that out and what to do about a nest if she doesn’t go back to the box tonight. She was after Elvis but he isn’t taking her broody craziness. The rest of the flock seems to leave her alone for the most part.

No eggs in the nest boxes, I looked all over the yard under trees and bushes, only one egg and I’m not sure how long it was out there so I tossed in the compost pile.
